Pitt Lake Elopement - Elise & Anthony

This blog post should be titled ‘How to elope in the rain’, or maybe ‘How to make it all about love and not worry about the weather’. Or even ‘One of the most beautiful locations in British Columbia to elope’. Seriously, I love the this area. The mountain backdrop and the water, it’s what photography dreams are made of.
The rain came and went for Elise and Anthony’s intimate elopement at Pitt Lake, and when it was on… it really really rained. Amazingly, the ceremony was dry and Mother Nature saved a downpour for as soon as the formalities were finished. Guests toasted champagne in a small pop up tent and no one seemed to mind. Except maybe their dog.
The bride and groom had a first look just before the ceremony then Anthony joined his parents and siblings as Elise walked a long grassy aisle down to meet their small group of guests, played in by a ukulele. Young Hip and Married performed the ceremony in a semi circle of moroccan rugs and candles and the brides dress was a custom design by Trista at Reclamation. Never heard of Reclamation? You must look at these incredible boho masterpieces. Every dress is unique and made from vintage lace and they’re just so perfect for the free spirited brides.

To view Elise and Anthony’s engagement session at Campbell Valley earlier in the year, click here. Fun fact, the bride knits the most amazing sweaters including the one she’s wearing that in that session. I wish I was crafty too.
